AMHERST — Leonardo Bettiol scored 23 points and Daniel Hankins-Sanford added 14 points and 10 rebounds as the UMass men’s basketball pulled away from Albany for an 83-62 victory, Saturday night at the Mullins Center.
“We played with force today. You can’t win if you don’t play with force,” UMass coach Frank Martin said. “Everyone wants to be physical and people think being physical is hitting. Force. That means when there is contact, you don’t give in to contact, you play through the contact. We did that today.”
