Smiles and 'overwhelming' feelings all around as Linganore captures county's first flag football state title

BALTIMORE — The end came quicker than Linganore girls flag football coach Brian Sweene wanted.

The Lancers’ memorable run was 16 seconds from concluding with the hardware they sought since practice began in August. But Sweene wanted to make sure he could get as many of his backups as possible one last meaningful play as a thank-you for their efforts in bringing Linganore to this point.
