MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball took care of business with its win over Bellarmine , but some improvement will be needed before the schedule ramps up in the weeks ahead.

K-State cruised to a 98-71 win over Bellarmine on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan.

Kansas State built its lead up to 19 early in the second half, but went into cruise control for the rest of the night. It got the usual great scoring performance from PJ Haggerty and outside shooting from Abdi Bashir Jr., but the Wildcats left plenty to be desired on the defensive end.

The Wildcats (2-0) will now turn around and host California on Thursday, Nov. 13 , at 8 p.m., before concluding their homestand against Tulsa on Nov. 17. The two games precede their appearances in the Hall of Fame Classic in Kans
