OWENSBORO, Ind. (WEHT) -- Amy McGrath was in Owensboro Saturday, campaigning for a seat in congress.

The Democrat is running for senate. McGrath spoke tonight at the Wendell Ford Dinner. She says chaos in Washington is raising grocery bills and closing hospitals. Her platform includes supporting veterans, lowering costs for families and protecting health care.

“A lot of Kentuckians are unhappy with the way things are going in our country right now, and they have a right to be,” McGrath said. “Because these folks in power at this moment, they voted to take away health care, they are actually making things worse in terms of affordability, with these taxes on all of us in the form of tariffs.
