HOUSTON — Two men have been arrested after deputies say they attacked a homeless man and posted a video of the assault online.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Xavier Martinez, 20, and Jace Fields, 27, were both charged with Class A assault and arrested by the department’s Violent Persons Task Force. They were booked into the Harris County Jail.

Investigators said the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2025, behind a business on State Highway 249 near Service Center Road in the Tomball area.

Deputies said the 35-year-old victim, who is believed to be homeless, was retrieving clothing from inside a dumpster when two suspects pulled up in a vehicle. Without provocation, Martinez allegedly pepper-sprayed the victim and took photos of him while he was disoriented.
