Several Coventry streets have been ranked among the unhealthiest in the West Midlands. Pubs, vape shops, and takeaways are prevalent in the city areas, contributing to their poor health rankings.
Researchers at Independent Pharmacy analysed over 400 high streets across the UK, each stretching more than 700m, to examine the density of takeaways, pubs, sweet shops, off-licences, and gyms. Data was sourced from Google Maps and Yell.
Foleshill and Stoke were identified as the unhealthiest areas in Coventry . Both neighbourhoods are densely packed with fast-food joints.
