Less than three minutes away from scoring a sweep of a two-game series in Tucson Saturday, the Coachella Valley Firebirds instead had to settle for a single point for an overtime 4-3 loss to the Roadrunners.

Leading 3-2 for the entire third period, Coachella Valley gave up a goal to Tucson's Ryan McGregor with just 2:45 left in regulation to tie the score 3-3. Then in overtime, Tucson's Daniil But completed a hat trick with a goal just 90 seconds into the five-minute extra period.
