I’m so thrilled to write about a friend’s dream coming true.

Whenever I think about my high school friends, I’m grateful. I’m grateful to still be in touch with so many, to still have a front-row seat in their lives and to take part in their special days.

Thursday night was one of those special days as my dear friend Caila Klaiss, of Dallas, had a book signing for her debut novel, “Kennedy Sloane Gets Scooped.”

The novel follows heroine Kennedy Sloane from New York City to Hilton Head Island, where she seeks escape after losing a news “scoop” that could have catapulted her career inside the competitive world of network news.
