Shopian, Nov 09: Security forces and police on Saturday continued their crackdown on the terror ecosystem in south Kashmir’s Shopian district for the second consecutive day, officials said.
Multiple residential premises were searched in connection with individuals allegedly linked to terror activities, including overground workers (OGWs), Jammu & Kashmir Nationals Operating from Pakistan (JKNOP), and those booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) who are presently out on bail.
“The operations are part of a sustained effort to identify and dismantle networks that provide any form of support to terrorism,” a senior police officer said.
“Searches were carried out at several locations on October 8 and continued today as part of the follow-up action.”, he added.
