The first thing that one sees when a flight approaches New Delhi is thick smog that envelopes the city and the lack of greenery. In almost all major cities in India, lack of greenery is the most obvious sight that one sees when approaching that city by air. The sorry state of Delhi’s air has recently been in the news. A recent attempt to clean the air by cloud seeding failed miserably. I feel that planting trees on a large scale in cities and living sustainably is one of the best solutions to air pollution.
