Dakota Fanning was on Watch What Happens Live and Andy Cohen asked her if Tom Cruise still sends her shoes every year on her birthday. She confirmed that he does, and Brittany Snow asked her what kind of shoes they were, and Dakota just said, "They're nice shoes." Apparently her size has changed over the years and his assistant he has adapted.

A historian in the comments says, "He’s been doing this since 2005. She mentioned on set in war of the worlds that she was finally able to wear adult size shoes and couldn’t wait to buy grown up shoes, so he sends her fancy shoes every year on her birthday."
