A $3.5 million investment approved Tuesday, Nov. 3 by Special Town Meeting to build a clubhouse at the town-owned Acushnet River Valley golf course should not only be affordable, but pay off in the long run. Town officials state the project will be funded by the course's revenue and will not cost taxpayers.
