Lung cancer is the No. 1 cancer killer in Arkansas. Our state consistently ranks among the top three in the nation for new lung cancer cases, and we have one of the lowest survival rates. Only about 22 percent of Arkansans diagnosed with lung cancer live five years past their diagnosis, compared to 28 percent nationally.
