A 26-year-old woman and her lesbian partner were arrested in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday (November 8, 2025) for allegedly killing her five-month-old infant.

The key accused S. Bharathi (26), a resident of Chinnati near Kelamangalam has two daughters and gave birth to a baby boy five months ago. On November 4, she breastfed the baby and the infant died within a few minutes. The body was buried in their agricultural land.

But, her husband Suresh raised suspicion over the activities of Bharathi as she was normal and happy after the infant’s death.

When he checked her mobile phone, he reportedly found photographs and videos of Bharathi with their neighbour Sumithra (20), suggestive of the two women being in a relationship. Suresh also found that a photo of the infant was
