A 24-year-old man from Cornwall has tragically died in Argentina following a severe allergic reaction. Harry James Kitto passed away on November 7 after a week-long struggle for survival. His family reported that he died "quietly with his family around him". Harry's loved ones had set up a fundraiser to assist with medical expenses, which has now raised over £54,000. They expressed their grief on the fundraising page, stating, "Our beautiful, brilliant boy Harry Kitto has been fighting for his life in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after suffering a catastrophic allergic reaction while travelling with his immensely strong, courageous, and brave girlfriend, Naomi." The family highlighted Harry's extraordinary strength and determination during his illness, saying, "For over a week, he showed extraordinary strength and determination — the same strength that made everyone who knew him so proud." Despite the medical team's relentless efforts, they ultimately confirmed that Harry was brain dead and that there was nothing more they could do. The funds raised will now be used to repatriate Harry's body from Buenos Aires to Cornwall. Any remaining money will be donated to The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, which provided support to the family during Harry's illness. Donations can still be made to the fundraiser online.
