MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a man who stole a $75,000 piece of construction equipment and then sold it on Facebook Marketplace, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

They say that the device was identified at around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday.

Deputies spoke with the owner of the machine, a skid steer, which was stolen from a job site in DeKalb County, according to the release.

A GPS tracker led the owner to Monroe County who the sheriff's office spoke with the property owner.

They said a man, who identified only as "Martin," sold it to him on Facebook Marketplace.

Now, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the skid steer was returned to its owner.
