Rail passengers are being warned of 'delays and some cancellations' following an incident on the line between Exeter St Davids and Bridgewater.

Traffic and travel site Inrix has posted a message at 9.42am today stating that Great Western Railway and CrossCountry services were being affected between Exeter St Davids and Castle Cary and between Exeter St Davids and Bridgewater.

The site states that this is "due to emergency services dealing with an incident".

National Rail has posted an alert on its website describing "disruption" between the two stations is "expected until 10.15am".

They explain that the incident was reported at 9.32am.
