Manchester City is to open a huge new shop at the Trafford Centre - and in good news for Blues fans, it will be opening just in time for Christmas shopping.

Hoardings have now gone up at the City store unit on Peel Avenue inside the vast shopping mall, next to the John Lewis department store and Waterstones.

The news comes amid burgeoning times at the Trafford Centre , which has welcomed a raft of its own big new signings in recent months, including Urban Outfitters, Bershka, Gymshark and Whittard.

Man City bosses have taken over the unit vacated by car company Polestar, which moved its base to Wilmslow at the end of last month.
