THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The family of a woman who died of an infection after giving birth has come out with more allegations against the SAT Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased is Sivapriya (26), a native of Karikkakom. Speaking to a media outlet, Sivapriya's husband Manu said that after the delivery, the doctor performed the stitches in an unclean manner and that the infection originated from the hospital.

Sivapriya delivered her baby on October 22 and was discharged on the 25th. She developed a fever on the 26th and was brought back to the hospital. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. She died this afternoon while undergoing treatment.
