HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) -A Winter Weather Advisory is already in effect for far southeastern Kentucky, as the state tracks snow showers and brutal wind chills to start the work week.

This morning, expect scattered rain showers and a chance for some stronger storms as a cold front rolls across the state. Winds will pick up, and temperatures will drop quickly into the 30s from northwest to southeast by this afternoon. By early evening, lingering gusty rain showers will mix with snow as cold air moves in behind the front.

Tonight, look for snow showers and light flurries mainly in central and eastern Kentucky. Snow will mostly stick to grass and higher surfaces. With temperatures dropping into the 20s, watch out for icy spots on bridges and overpasses. Winds will make it feel colder, with wind c
