SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Spirit of Springfield's Bright Nights Ball, the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year, dazzled attendees with its 'Opera Noir' theme on Saturday night at MGM Springfield.

The black-tie gala featured a gourmet dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and a 50/50 raffle, all in support of the Spirit of Springfield's mission to unite the community through events like the World's Largest Pancake Breakfast and Bright Nights at Forest Park.

"The first couple of years we used the money to decorate downtown, like with the downtown lighting program.
