Stamford Police say they are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian in critical condition on Saturday night.

A person was hit by a car on High Ridge Road at 10:30 p.m. while crossing the street, according to police.

The pedestrian, who is still unidentified, has life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition at Stamford Hospital, police say.

Officials say there are no crosswalks in the area where the person was crossing the street.
