NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) - Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly stole from a store in New Haven on Saturday night.

At around 9:23 p.m. officers were called to a Family Dollar located on Whalley Avenue after a report of a robbery, the police department said.

The store’s staff reported that a man about 50-60 years old and had a grey beard stole approximately $30 worth of merchandise.

They also claimed the suspect threatened staff members when they tried to intervene.

Officials said the suspect was last seen leaving the store on foot heading towards Whalley Avenue.

On scene officers were canvassing the area, but they were not able to find the individual.

No one was injured in this incident.
