UPDATE: The warning period for the school zone traffic cameras located near Orchard Knob Elementary and Brainerd High School is ending Monday.
That means speeders will receive citations with a $50 fine in the mail, the Chattanooga Police Department says. The automated school zone speed enforcement program will hopefully encourage safe driving near two local schools.
The cameras only operate during active school zone hours on school days. The City of Chattanooga uses the digital service Zero Fatality(R) for viewing and requesting payment for photo enforcement citations.
