STONE COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) -A Galena woman has died after a car crash in Stone County Saturday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8 a.m. on McCord Bend Road, just one mile north of McCord Bend.

Troopers said a 2005 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 43-year-old woman, from Galena, was driving south when it crossed the center of the roadway, overcorrected, and overturned, ejecting the driver.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to troopers.

This is Troop D’s 117th fatality for 2025.
