TORONTO — Don’t worry, the white stuff should melt fairly quickly.

With the official start of winter more than one month away, residents in the GTA woke Sunday to their first taste of snow this season.

While some of the snow melted on contact with the asphalt, the remainder won’t stick around for that long as the forecast is calling for highs of 4C on Tuesday and 6C on Wednesday.

Environment Canada issued special weather statements for Toronto and much of the southern part of Ontario, ranging from London to Ottawa. We can thank a low pressure system that’s moving through southern Ontario.
