Queen Camilla looked on with pride as her husband King Charles presided over this morning's poignant Remembrance Day service, laying a wreath and delivering a striking salute in honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflict.

Thousands of veterans gathered alongside senior members of the Royal Family at the Cenotaph in London today, with the Princess of Wales, Prince William and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh united in paying tribute to the fallen.

Kate was dressed warmly in a black coat with a coordinating hat as she observed the ceremony from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, which overlooks the Cenotaph. She stood beside the Queen , who wore three poppies and a substantial hat decorated with fur.
