The National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory at 1:08 p.m. on Sunday valid from Monday 4 a.m. until Tuesday 1 p.m. for Mercer, Venango and Forest counties.
The weather service adds to anticipate, "Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes," states the weather service. "Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways.
