Two long-term construction projects in rural northwest Ohio are both nearly finished.
On I-75, work to complete the new diverging diamond interchange at Hancock County Road 99 north of Findlay will close Road 99 over the freeway for about a week starting Monday, the Ohio Department of Transportation said.
And on U.S. 24, the Independence Road overpass near Jewell is expected to open late this week, with turn restrictions to be imposed immediately at two nearby U.S. 24 intersections.
ODOT did not give a date estimate for when the rebuilt Road 99 interchange will open, but the “final preparations” for it will shut down Road 99 except for right turns to and from it at the freeway ramps on either side.
