Bundle up! Greater Akron could soon see its first snow of the 2025 to 2026 winter season.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for 5 to 10 inches of possible snow throughout Northeast Ohio, including the cities of Akron, Medina, Wadsworth, Kent, Ravenna and Streetsboro.
The watch, which also covers north central Ohio, is in effect from 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 through 10 a.m. on Nov. 11.
Falling and blowing snow may cause visibilities to drop below a quarter of a mile, the agency stated.
Snow on tree limbs and gusty winds could cause power outages and down power lines, according to the NWS winter weather watch.
Leaves on trees combined with wet, heavy snow could also bring large branches down on power lines and cause sporadic power outages, the agency said.
