Giesecke+Devrient ePayments America Inc. plans to close its Twinsburg facility and lay off about 240 employees.
The company, part of Germany-based global security firm Giesecke+Devrient , will end the workers' employment on or around Jan. 30, according to a Nov. 3 Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice .
The letter said the layoffs and closure of the facility at 1960 and 2020 Enterprise Parkway were based on G+D's "goal to support long-term business efficiency, centralized operations, and strategic growth."
