A steady stream of cars rolled through the parking lot of the Healing Center, as staffers and volunteers unloaded grocery bags and boxes with the precision of a NASCAR pit crew.

“I love being able to stay dry in the car, but also help our friends and neighbors this giving season,” Early said.

Hundreds stayed dry and warm while still lending a helping hand to needy families.

Healing Center director Adrienne Wiley says the convenience helps donors reach out to those in need.

“People want to show up," Wiley said. "They are stepping up and helping our neighbors.”
