HELENA, Mont. (KUMV) - Montana finalized and submitted its application for the Rural Health Transformation Plan.
Montana will receive at least $500 million over the next 5 years in federal funding due to the Big Beautiful Bill.
According to the application, Montana will use that money for five key areas, including improving workforce development, telehealth services, and healthcare services in schools.
Officials with the Department of Public Health and Human Services say they’re now working on plans for implementation.
Awarded amounts should be announced by the end of the year.
