MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Minot’s largest breast cancer fundraiser saw a record-breaking year in last month’s Double D-Haw event.
Over the last four years, they’ve raised close to $80,000, which has helped purchase the new breast biopsy system at Trinity Health.
Last month, they raised $30,000 at the Blue Rider with a seafood boil and street party.
ShaunAnne Tangney with Double D-Haw gives us a sneak peek of what they’re fundraising for in the coming years to further support Trinity Health’s mission to fight breast cancer.
“It helps surgeons make sure that they have gotten breast cancer removed. It measures the margins, so it’s real-time results,” said Tangney.
She said the operating room mobile machine could cost another $80,000.
The fundraiser will return next Oct.
