On June 12, 2025, 241 passengers on board Air India AI 171, perished in a fiery crash just after takeoff at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. There was one survivor passenger. Nineteen persons on the ground lost their lives, making it the first crash of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner since its introduction into commercial aviation.
