The Woodstock Museum is launching a fundraising campaign to restore the aging front porch of the Marshall House, the museum’s flagship property and one of Woodstock’s oldest landmarks.
During Tuesday’s Woodstock Town Council meeting, museum president Barbara Kesser presented architectural renderings for the long-planned restoration and announced that fundraising efforts are now underway. The project, expected to cost about $125,000, will replace the deteriorating 1890s-era veranda — currently propped up by braces — with a permanent stone structure designed to match the home’s mid-1800s appearance.
