Tony Romo made an uncomfortable and cringeworthy “DTF” comment during the New England Patriots-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Sunday.
Jim Nantz and Tony Romo are on the call for the “Tom Brady Bowl”, featuring the legendary quarterback’s two former teams. New England entered the contest atop the AFC East with a 7-2 record, while Tampa is comfortably leading the NFC South at 6-2.
During the second quarter, Romo told Nantz that the Patriots are “DTF”, which is weird enough to hear on live television. He then clarified that he meant, “Details, toughness and they finish.”
Well, at least he didn’t mean “DTF” in the more inappropriate sense.
