TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Several cold weather shelters are available from Sunday night through Tuesday night, according to a press release from the Big Bend Continuum of Care.
This comes after a freeze watch was announced for Leon County.
There are separate locations for the shelters that are based on “household composition.”
Single adults ages 18 and older are directed to go to the Kearney Center at 2650 Municipal Way. For families with at least one adult and one child they are being directed to HOPE Community at 2729 West Pensacola. Youth aged 10 through 17 are directed to 2407 Roberts Avenue with the hotline number 850-576-6000.
People looking to stay at these locations are required to arrive between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. for intake, per the release.
