SCRAPBOOK - Capital Region Scrapbook commemorates Veterans Day today with photos from 1984, 1976 and 1948.

Named originally for the armistice signed Nov. 11 between the Allies of World War I and Germany --- ending World War I --- the day of peace went into effect at 11 a.m.... the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918.
