Alijah Martin had a tremendous start to the first game of his G League career — an assist followed by three consecutive baskets from beyond the arc.

Equally impressive and important during that stretch were several defensive plays that don’t necessarily jump out from the stat sheet — harassing opponents’ ballhandlers, deflecting passes and challenging for rebounds against taller opponents.
