LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person was rescued from a Saturday night apartment fire near Bashford Manor.
In the evening hours of Saturday, Nov. 8, the Louisville Fire Department responded to a fire at 2006 Goldsmith Lane, where a two-story apartment building had caught fire on the second floor.
Fire crews were dispatched at 8:05 p.m. and brought the fire under control by 8:23 p.m.
During the operation, firefighters rescued one person from the apartment, they were then transported to University of Louisville Hospital for medical treatment.
A total of 30 firefighters worked to contain the fire and prevent any further damage.
