LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Drivers who frequent Bardstown Road in the Bonnycastle and Highlands Douglass neighborhoods, get ready to experience some traffic delays.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have begun a state-led pavement marking project along Bardstown Road – from Taylorsville Road to Bonnycastle Avenue.
The project began on Nov. 2.
KYTC says improvement plans include removing existing pavement markings with water blasting and installing new thermoplastic striping. The thermoplastic material will help with visibility in wet weather and nighttime conditions.
There will be lane closures and parking restrictions so crews can perform striping and intersection markings along the corridor.
Those closures will be set in two phases – daytime from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and nighttime from 7 p.m.
