NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Vanderbilt Commodores and the Tennessee Volunteers both moved up two spots in the AP Top 25 poll this week.
The ‘Dores held on to defeat the Auburn Tigers 45-38 in overtime on Saturday.
The game was an absolute shootout, with both teams combining for 1,107 total yards. The Tigers couldn’t score a touchdown in OT, and Vanderbilt hung on for its eighth win of the season.
The Commodores are now 8-2 and still alive in the College Football Playoff race.
Following the win over the Tigers, the ‘Dores jumped to No. 13 in the AP Poll, which is two spots higher than last week’s ranking.
