CHEAT LAKE, W.Va. (WBOY) — The new wedding venue that just cut its ribbon early last month, White Oak 1838 in Cheat Lake, held its inaugural Veterans' Voices Dinner Sunday afternoon in support of local heroes in the area, giving them a chance to share their stories and connect with fellow veterans who helped fight for our freedom.
The evening started with a welcome from owners Dave and Cindy Rosiello, followed by the National Anthem performed by Sapphire Sound.
Pastor John Sommers from the Cheat Lake Community Church led a moment of silence for fallen heroes, followed by the Tribute to Veterans' Service led by West Virginia State Senator Mike Oliverio, along with Ryan Kennedy, Cabinet Secretary of the WV Department of Veterans Assistance.
There was live entertainment from local veterans
