WELLFORD, S.C. (WSPA) - The Wellford Police department is reminding residents that parts of East Greenville Highway will be temporarily closed starting Monday morning.

All four lanes of Highway 29 will be closed in order for officials to remove several trees that are considered a hazard due to risk of falling.

The closure is planned from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and is expected to last between 20 to 30 minutes.

The City of Wellford asks drivers to plan ahead and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
