ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) - The Asheville Police Department said that one person is injured following a shooting Sunday night.

Officers are on scene at Pisgah View Apartments following reports of a gunshot wound victim. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a wound to his chest.

Officials said the victim was treated on scene and transported to Mission Hospital for further treatment. His wound is believed to be non-life threatening.
