PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Authorities arrested a suspect following separate pursuits involving agencies from both Ballard and McCracken counties.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they pursuit began when Ballard County Sheriff's Office chased a vehicle which was reported stolen from Springfield, Illinois, during an armed carjacking. Authorities said the suspect's reckless driving led Ballard County deputies to lose sight of him near Highway 286 as he headed toward McCracken County.

McCracken County deputies reported locating the stolen vehicle on Blandville Road and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled.
