SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Lingering showers and storms are out of the area by tonight and we will be left with cold air moving in.

Showers and storms took a while to get going across Southwestern Georgia, but eventually storms flared up ahead of the cold front we’ve been tracking. One cluster of storms made it into southern portions of the Coastal Empire, but any severe storms remained to our south.

Expect a chilly Monday with temperatures in the 40s and winds out of the northwest making it feel colder. Sunny skies are anticipated but temperatures will struggle to warm into the 50s, and it will feel chilly the entire day. Temperatures plummet by sunset, with a cold one for any evening plans.
