STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — The Louisiana State women's basketball team defeated Georgia Southern in Statesboro 118-70 Saturday led by Savannah native Flau'jae Johnson.

Johnson, senior guard for the Tigers, played the closest game of her career to her hometown of Savannah.

Johnson and South Carolina transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley co-led LSU in scoring with 19 points and added on six assists in the dominant win.

She said it was one of the best days in her collegiate career.

"It was fun everyone has that love for me," she said. "I was smiling all day even on turnovers."

Johnson was scoreless in the first quarter and then exploded in the second. She recorded three three-pointers in the quarter, along with a highlight behind-the-back assist that sparked a big scoring run from LSU.
