Jets linebacker Quincy Williams started the week dealing with the kind of change that could have rattled him to his core.
He returned from the bye and quickly found out he was no longer considered a starter. Less than 24 hours later, he learned younger brother Quinnen Williams was no longer a teammate after being traded to the Cowboys .
“There were a lot of emotions,” Quincy Williams said. “About a lot of stuff.”
But Williams decided early in the week he wouldn’t focus on what had been lost, but what could still be done.
“My mindset was, they’re going to say my name as many times as they can [on Sunday],” Williams said, laughing. “I went on a Muhammad Ali rant, for real. I’m not going to lie to you. ‘Say my name. Say my name.’”
Williams made sure his name was said plenty on Sunda
